Globe: Gaming Towards Success

Opportunity

Despite being a thriving hotbed of gameplay and esports talent, our insights told us that the country was a ‘flyover market’ for most global developers — the market required minimal localization and the ARPU was seen as lower than the regional average. From that, we saw our opportunity. 

 

Solution

We built a multi-year approach focused on a singular goal, putting Filipino gamers on the world stage. Partnering with Riot Games, Tencent, Mineski and Facebook Gaming, we developed a series of national tournament opportunities that all led to regional and global exposure for Filipino teams. Additionally, we acquired and rebranded a team now known as Liyab, members of whom went on the win a gold medal at the SEA Games.
